Updated Pricing

I have updated pricing information for countries for which the Android Market has recently been extended.

People in those countries such as South Africa (special thanks to Karl for bringing this to my attention), should now be able to purchase the application should they so desire.

Thanks!

Delays

Unfortunately, I have had to put further development for Defensoid on hold temporarily as I finish some rather important work during the next two months.

After that, I'll have a much steadier schedule to work development time into.  I have been re-working the game to support both larger maps, a map editor, more towers, achievements, and more.  I think you'll like it.

But like I said, it is a ways away.  Please don't hesitate to keep sending in suggestions and comments.

This update will not be a "Defensoid 2", but will simply be an update to Defensoid.  The current sale price will remain until this update is released, to help make up for my currently limited support.

I am aware of a couple of issues currently affecting some players:
 - Saving the game sometimes fails, causing force closures when trying to load
 - Sometimes the game crashes during extended game play

The update will address these issues.

Thanks for playing,
Darren

Defensoid Lite now Ad Supported

Great news!

You can now play 15 levels of Defensoid for FREE!  Occasionally you'll be subjected to an advertisement, but never during actual gameplay.  To support the ads, the "Internet" permission is now requested.  It is only used to fetch advertisements, however.

This will be an ongoing experiment :)  Perhaps more levels will be added if the response is good.  Keep in mind that the full version has all 25 levels and no ads...and right now can be had for the low, low price of 99 cents!!!

Happy Defending.  More updates to follow...my first priority has been changed from "global high scores" to "level editor".  I think the latter is more important.  Feel free to argue.

Defensoid 1.09 Released

Changes:
1.  Brand new settings menu, now featuring volume sliders!
2.  Three new levels - Tiers (easy), Split Up (medium), and Hotspot (hard).  Note that difficulties are somewhat subjective...what I consider easy, you may consider hard and vice versa.
3.  Pathfinding bug fix - In special cases some paths would not be found.  Now they are.
4.  For High DPI graphics devices the correct dead Bossoid should now be shown, as well as the "Pause" text in the menu.

Enjoy!

Oh...and I nearly forgot!  The full version is now on SALE for $0.99!!!

This won't last forever, so take advantage of it while you can!  Happy Valentines Day (a day late).

Defensoid 1.08 Released

Fixed a bug introduced by fixing that other bug involving radiation towers...

A radiation tower in combination with a slowing tile would stop Oids completely.  Now the slowest an Oid can go is 25% of their movement speed.

Defensoid 1.07 Released

This release fixes a bug with radiation towers not working on higher end phones like the Droid 2 and HTC Incredible.

Additionally, Shieldoids are now immune to radiation damage (but will still be slowed) while still shielded.

All the work from my last post is still ongoing, no worries.  I apologize if this release got anyone too excited.

Back to work...

My goals for the next update:

1.  Global High Scores (full version only for now)
2.  More levels
3.  New Oids
4.  Some bug fixes

I plan to eventually (maybe not this update) make the free version ad supported, and include more levels for it.

I've been very busy with other projects the last couple of weeks, but hopefully I will be able to have an update within two weeks, other work permitting.

I've been thrilled with the response to the game thus far, and am overjoyed that so many people find it a good way to pass the time!
